Neutrals are huge for spring, both in fashion and beauty. I’ve been wearing a ton of head-to-toe neutral outfits recently. And my favorite Spring makeup trend to go with the neutrals is glowing skin. Since Mother Nature hasn’t been so kind with the weather, I’ve had to achieve that glow with makeup.
glowing skin
I’ve been using the newly launched Mary Kay® Limited-Edition Illuminating Drops ($22) for a natural looking desert glow. The drops come in three shades that make any complexion look sun-kissed. You can mix the drops with your favorite foundation for all-over glow, but I prefer targeted shimmer.
My favorite shade is “Golden Horizon.” I tap it onto my cheekbones and blend it out for a light highlight. Then I dab it on my brow bone and inner eye for more saturated shimmer. The dropper cap makes it easy to target the smaller areas because the liquid comes out drop by drop.
a pop of color
A neutral outfit and glowing skin is the perfect base for a pop of color on your lips. The new Mary Kay® Limited-Edition Lip Tints ($18) come in three desert inspired hues that complement a sun-kissed complexion. For daytime, I’m really into “Canyon Coral.” The color is also the biggest shade for Spring! At night, I prefer the deeper “Magenta Mirage,” which is a fun alternative to the berry lips I played it with in winter.
You apply the lip tints like a pen and can layer to achieve deeper color. I like to paint on two coats, since one is a little sheer for me. The color lasts so long that you don’t even need to bring the pen in your purse when you’re on the go. All I did was apply lip balm throughout the day to keep my lips moisturized. The color never left, even after lunch and two lattes!

Beautiful Sydne! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks Claire, you too!!
Glowy skin and pops of colour is something I’ve been trying as well, it’s so effortless and when it’s warm the last thing we want is to feel a thick layer of makeup on our face.
Totally agree! Hate when it melts off
Beautiful Sydne! You look great
I love a barely noticeable glow, everything should be in moderation. I advise you to get to know these cosmetics https://www.beauty-spirit.com/best-cheap-face-highlighter.html better. As for me, this is the best manufacturer, at a nice price
