I love sleeveless sweaters for spring. They have a little more weight than a tank, which is great for fickle weather. Plus, you can wear them so many different ways. I was drawn to the split back of this sleeveless sweater (now on sale in three colors!). I went with yellow, since it’s my favorite color. So I thought it would be fun to style in two interesting color combos for spring.

yellow & lavender

I love the looks of brights and pastels together. One of my favorite color combinations right now is yellow and lavender. So I contrasted the bright sweater with lavender sandals and a matching bag. A light denim neutralizes the look so the color combo isn’t so in your face.

yellow & army green

I also like muting down bright colors with earthier tones. These army green pants are quite possibly the comfiest piece in my closet right now! They have an elastic waist and you can cinch your waist (or loosen when you eat!) with the sash belt. I thought they were an interesting contrast with the bold sweater. Then I just stuck with neutral accessories to mute down the outfit even more. Speaking of comfy, I’ve talked about it before but these nude sandals are my go-tos this spring!

I’m often asked where I get my fashion inspiration. Honestly, I get it everywhere! During spring, I’m often influenced by flowers. There have been wisteria blooming all over LA. The purple flowers have been making me gravitate more towards lilac and lavender outfits. And the yellow with the green was from all the yellow wildflowers I saw in patches of yellow and green on my drive down to San Diego the other week.

Sometimes it’s fun to just look around and take inspiration from things you see everyday, whether it’s on your walk with your dog or ride to work. You never know what inspiration is right around the corner!
