As much as I want summer to stay forever, I’m starting to accept that fall is coming. So I’m slowly starting to bring transitional pieces into my wardrobe. One color that works well from summer into fall is orange. I prefer a deeper orange that you can wear with whites now and jewel tones and blue denim later. I love the desert orange hue Camila Coehlo went with for her recent collection. Plus, the peplum top is super flattering with everything you layer it with. Here are two ways to wear an orange top…
with jeans
For summer, I love pairing orange with bright whites. Since the orange top has a lot of volume on the sides, I went with skinny jeans to create balance. Then I did brown accessories with my Louis Vuitton bag I got in Paris and brown leather sandals. Next month, I’d wear basically the same outfit, just swapping out my white skinny jeans for dark denim.
with skirts
When wearing a peplum top over skirts, I like to belt it to show off my waist. This double o belt is my fave Gucci belt dupe (it’s only $39!). I’m loving slip skirts at the moment so I paired the top with a yellow satin midi skirt. It’s the same style as the leopard midi skirt you might remember me wearing earlier in the year. If you’re into prints, I could also see the orange top over leopard for a fall statement look!
