I feel like summer started late this year. We had major June gloom in Los Angeles. So I had to make up for enjoying summer when the sun finally came out the week leading up to July 4th. And make up for it I did. I knocked so many things off my summer bucket list: family and friend time in Miami, seeing a new city (Chicago) recharging on the beach with my bestie and taking Jack Jack to the beach.
If summer ended today, I could smile and say I had an incredible summer. Thankfully, we still have a few weeks left of my favorite season. To make sure I live it to the fullest, I put together an end-of-summer bucket list. I figured by publishing it on my blog I can manifest it into reality.
end of summer bucket list
- Host a picnic for my friends.
- Go paddle boarding.
- Start and finish a book.
- Go to a farmer’s market.
- Have a spa day with my mom.
- Take another social media detox.
- Try a new rooftop restaurant.
- Have a playdate with Jack Jack and a new dog.
- Do outdoor yoga or meditation.
- Explore my city.
What’s on your end of summer bucket list?
# 3 Start and finish a book
I’ve read two books so far this summer: Emily Giffin’s “All We Ever Wanted” was a nice beach read but I prefer her other novels much better. I loved Dolly Alderton’s “Everything I Know About Love.” It’s an autobiography that follows a young girl from adolescence to her 20s. I teared up at the end and had to text my best friend how much I appreciate our friendship.

#6 Take another social media detox
Taking a social media break in July was beyond nerve racking but so incredibly rewarding. You can read about my experience signing off of Instagram in this social media blog post. I don’t just want to make this an end-of-summer bucket list to-do. I really want to try taking at least a one day break every month this year.
#10 Explore my city
I’ve been traveling so much these past few months so I’m really excited to be home until fashion week. I recently went with my photographer, Mun, to an outdoor exhibit at La Brea Tarpits called Second Home LA. It’s a really cool space with tunnels of color. We went early so it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to take these awesome photos. I saw a bunch of kids giggling as they ran through the tunnels and couldn’t help but absorb their happy innocence.
Good wish list. I usually do this at the beginning of the year, and use the to do check list Cheqmak, which helps to put all the wishes on a sheet or file in a beautiful and organized way. Then I print it out and hang it on the fridge with a magnet so I can see it every day.
