We’ve been chatting about transitional pieces recently, that you can wear from summer into fall. But what about summer into holiday season? Enter the jewel tone jumpsuit.

I love the ease of a jumpsuit. And they’re so easy to dress up and down. A jewel tone, like this emerald jumpsuit, works year-round. You can make it summery with boho accessories now and then add sparkle for the holidays later this year. Here are two ways I’m wearing mine:

I was initially drawn to the drawstring waist of this green jumpsuit. It gives it more of a relaxed vibe while the silky fabric still makes it dressy enough for night. I’m also a fan of wide leg jumpsuits (and pants for that matter) since you can wear tall platforms underneath to make your legs look extra tall. Being 5’3 it’s a trick I use very often.

To show off the neckline, I pulled my hair back into a messy bun. Then I added boho accessories to make the dark green more summer friendly: mixed metal disc statement earrings (now on sale!) and a beaded bag (I actually rented this one!).

into holiday

For holiday season, I’d add gold and sparkly accessories to dress up the look. A thick gold belt hides the more casual drawstring waist. And you can never go wrong with a gold clutch for the holidays! I actually planned to wear a statement gold cuff with this outfit but forgot to pack it when I was loading up my car for this shoot. But a little gold or sparkle on the wrist would be the perfect finishing touch.
