My Experience at a Safe Open-Air Hair Salon in LA

Sydne Style shares where to get a haircut outdoors in LA at Kim Vo Salon on Robertson

Thanks to Covid, my hair was the longest it’s been since I was a teenager. And I don’t mean that in a good way. I kept seeing people do hair cuts at home but I just didn’t want to chance it. So month after month my hair grew longer and longer. Then, finally, hair salons were slowly allowed to re-open in Los Angeles. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to get a haircut. It’s funny to think about things we used to just take for granted are now almost life changing. That’s exactly how I felt after getting my hair cut by Andrew Daum Chung at Kim Vo Salon. I walked out of this safe open-air salon feeling like a brand new woman.

I’ve talked about Kim’s salon on Robertson a few times before on my blog. It’s so beautiful and airy. And, luckily, it has a massive courtyard. So you can get your hair done outside. There are awnings above, plus space AC units, so you don’t overheat when you’re getting a blowout. And everyone, of course, wears a mask. I wore my Sydne Summer face mask but they also have disposable face masks in case you need an extra. I felt totally safe the entire time I was there.

Getting my hair cut was a priority, since it was way too long. Next up I’ll be visiting Kim for color. He’s been doing my hair for over 10 years. It was sure interesting having to touch up my roots at home. I can’t wait to get my hair color back into the hands of a professional. After Covid, I’ll never take things like a hair cut or hair color for granted again!

If you want to book an apt with Kim, Andrew or any of the other hairstylists at the salon, here is the info:

It looks really cool. We do not have open salons, and it is simply necessary to cut my husband’s hair. But I’ve already learned how to do it myself, once you take into account the valuable advice https://wisebarber.com/undercut-haircut/ and every haircut of my husband’s hair is just great

Great haircut! I noticed your man hairdresser! I lived with complete confidence that male stylists conjure over their wards only in the movies 🙂 But then I learned about Nicolas Krafft – https://www.topionetworks.com/people/nicolas-krafft-5f6d4b2f105eb55527c1960e. First, he started as a product manager at the famous company L’Oreal, and now he teaches leadership in digital business. Men who understand beauty, and then in business, impress me very much, and also your haircut, I’m crazy about it!
