It finally cooled down enough in LA for me to break out one of my favorite fall trends: leather pants. I’ve always loved the look of leather pants, and I bring new styles into my wardrobe ever year. My most recent adds are paper-bag waist leather pants and leather leggings in new colors. I’ve been super into neutrals recently so I styled both in a black and tan color palette to introduce them into the world:
Leather leggings come back in style every year. And it’s not surprising, since they’re so versatile! I’ve done tons of outfit posts in leather leggings. This season, I was inspired by my tan corduroy face mask and added a camel leather leggings to the mix. I love the idea of leather leggings in a color because you can just wear them with neutrals you already have in your closet.
A little trick if you’re uncomfortable with your hips or booty in leather leggings: add a long cardigan! It still allows you to show off your waist while slimming your bottom half.
paper-bag waist leather pants
A couple of years ago, I had paper bag waist leather pants that I loved so much I had to get them in black, too. A paper-bag waist is especially great if you have an hourglass shape or pear shape. It cinches the waist and is roomier in the hips. I usually wear mine with more fitted tops and sweaters. It’s still not too cold in LA, so I went with a sleeveless turtleneck. But a long-sleeve sweater works equally as well.
I hope these fall outfits inspired you with some ideas on rocking leather pants. My favorite part? Once you find pairs you love, you can wear them for years to come.
