Today is National Almond Day. I swap between almond milk and oat milk with my coffee. But other that that, I don’t have much to say about almonds today except I love almond orchards! My photographer texted me this time last year and told me to meet her for peek bloom in Bakersfield, California. I had no clue why until she showed me a picture of magical field that looked like Springtime in Japan.
It was our last shoot before the pandemic. And was one of the most spectacular backdrops I’ve seen. The wind in the orchards cast petals in the air, almost making it feel like it was snowing flowers. You’ve seen a few outfits from our shoot, like my floral wrap dress and my floral mini dress. When I heard it was National Almond Day, I thought about the photo shoot and realized I never shared these photos of my floral lace dress!
I was drawn to the neckline of this ivory lace dress since we were shooting a beauty campaign that day. The dress is an ivory-champagne color, making it perfect if you have any bridal festivities coming up. My friend wore something similar when she got married at City Hall last year (her wedding got delayed so she went a little extra at the civil ceremony).
Since we were in the almond orchards, I brought out the ivory lace dress with my favorite flower statement earrings. Then I accented the look with champagne accessories. The cushioned sole on these affordable ankle strap sandals makes them surprisingly comfortable!
