In the L is for Leather episode of the A-Z Trend Guide, I styled an olive leather skirt with a denim shirt. A few days after filming, I saw Kirsten Dunst wear similar shade of leather at the Fargo premiere. While it looked like a dress, it was actually Proenza Schouler separates. I knew I wanted to create a similar look with my leather skirt. But I couldn’t find a matching leather top. So I instead I tucked an olive dress into my skirt, turning it into a shirt. It’s one of my favorite tricks and such a great way to get more use out of your wardrobe!
Like Kirsten, I kept to an earthy vibe with animal print accessories. Instead of her snakeskin Salvatore Ferragamo sandals, I went with leopard shoes and a haircalf bag (30% off right now!). And while I love how she added an unexpected pop with red lipstick, more natural makeup felt more me.
And I just want to apologize for the late post today. It was a crazy few days in New York City! I’m on the plane home now and can’t wait to share the YouTube video with you soon I filmed on my trip! Make sure to subscribe to my channel to see it first!
