I’ve always had an obsession with fringe. I love the movement it creates as you walk, or let’s face it, twirl, since it’s inevitable to do a little spin when you’re wearing the trend. While I gravitate toward black leather in the winter, for spring and summer I’ve been looking for softer and brighter ways to bring fringe into my wardrobe.
I discovered Australian brand Bless’ed Are the Meek and couldn’t get over this orange fringe skirt! It made me think of one of my favorite Project Runway finales when Sean Kelly sent models down the catwalk in swinging orange fringe and crisp white tailored tops. Taking inspiration from his winning collection, I contrasted the textured bottom with a classic white button-down and brought out the color with a matching orange clutch. Then I kept the rest of my accessories neutral, including my new shoe lover: these lace-up nude sandals.

I’m beginning to love the fringe also—at first I though it was a little silly for an adult—but luckily I got over that–ha ha! I’m actually doing a blog series on fringe this week—this embellishment does bring out the inner child in me!
Your skirt is more than just a fringed piece—it is truly lovely with the threaded embellishing and the color. You really put it together perfectly with the simple white blouse & nude heels!!
Just gorgeous, Sydne
