After our day in Turkey, we sailed back to Greece. We docked in Athens and spent the day exploring the ruins. While I was happy to get to see the Parthenon at the Acropolis, the true treat was driving down the coast to Cape Sounion and taking in the Temple of Poseidon. There was something so tranquil about the vast columns against the blue sky, surrounded on three sides by the sea. I highly recommend taking the 40 min drive out of the city to see it. It’s quite spectacular! (side tip: while any time of day is fine for Poseidon, make sure to visit the Acropolis right when it opens. It’s extremely crowded).
I took inspiration from Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, with another blue outfit. I’m into everything and anything lace-up recently and the ruffled neckline gave a feminine accent to the more nautical lacing. The best part of the dress? I simply had to swap my comfy espadrilles for more sleek slides when we later had dinner back on the ship.
