After Mykonos, we sailed over to Kusadi, Turkey. This was my first time in Turkey, so I thought I’d share what to wear in Turkey. Since my friends and I were going to be having a traditional lunch in someone’s home, we were asked to dress more conservatively. Luckily, I brought a maxi shirtdress. The sleeves appropriately covered my shoulders while the lightweight fabric kept me cool for a warm day exploring the city. You also want a comfy shoe for all the walking! My flatform espadrilles added height while allowing me to keep my balance on the cobblestone streets.
We started off in Ancient Ephesus and walked the majestic ruins along the most adorable cats who roamed the area. Next we drove over St. John’s Basilica, where St. John is buried. For lunch, we headed to the village of Sirince. It felt as if you’ve gone back in time and the people couldn’t have been more warm and friendly. I’m so sad I lost my photos from the day but luckily my friends snapped a few I could share. And you can check them out for more inspiration on what to wear in Turkey!
