This week I’ve been fighting some major jet lag. I just got back from three weeks in Sydney, Australia. I had the most amazing time with my boyfriend and his family. I already gave you a peek into my trip in my #sydneinsydney series on Instagram. But this week I wanted to show you some highlights from my trip down under.
First up? What to wear. Summers are very hot in Sydney. Shift dresses were my savior. Most of the days, I’d wear a shift dress with comfy espadrilles (my fave brand is having a major sale right now!). I pretty much lived in these lace-up denim flats you might remember from this Opera House pic. At night, I’d simply swap out my lace-up espadrilles for lace-up heels and add minimal makeup. This blue dress got a lot of wear, as did my favorite white shift dress (you can shop it on sale here).
My favorite part about shift dresses? You can wear them year-round! See how I transitioned the summer staple into cooler temperatures in this video.
