Designing My New Home Color Palette

Sydne Style shares home design ideas based on miraval roseRemember three weeks ago when I told you I was totally redoing my home? Well, we’re finally in phase two! I’m packing up some last minute things after I finish this blog post and leaving for three weeks. Renovations begin tomorrow. I couldn’t be more excited.

For the past three weeks I’ve been running around LA with my designer, Jodee Lemon, and cleaning and packing like a mad woman. It’s crazy how quickly this has come together. I’m going to be doing a weekly Sunday vlog series on my YouTube channel beginning next week. So make sure you subscribe if you want to watch the entire process unfold! In the meantime, here a few updates:

The Color Scheme

My first step for my home design was picking a color scheme. This was the easiest part for me. I knew I wanted a bright white space since my apartment gets great natural light.  I also wanted to incorporate my favorite accessory trend: mixed metals. We plan to have a combination of chrome, rose gold and yellow gold throughout the space. As a rosé lover, we’re using my favorite wine as inspiration for an accent color.

The Materials

One of my favorite fashion trends is mixing prints. Since we’re having a neutral space, we decided on materials with various textures in a white and light grey color scheme. We picked our paint (Benjamin Moore “Super White”), our quartz (Caesarstone “Statuario Maximus”), our wallpaper (Graham & Brown “Shimmer White”) and are doing a mix of gray and white tiles from Country Floors.

For more home decor ideas we’ve been pinning  you can check out my Home Inspo board, as well as Jodee’s board for my condo. I can’t wait to continue this journey with you!
