Even though spring is just a month away, it doesn’t look like it’s getting any warmer any time soon. So I’ve been looking for pieces that I can start wearing now that give me the happiness of spring, but the warmth of winter. For me, it’s been bright coats. During New York fashion week, I wore three different bright coats in three of the biggest color trends for spring…
Yellow is huge for next season. And I’m thrilled since it’s my favorite color! I doubled the happy color by layering a yellow trench coat over a yellow turtleneck sweater. Then I added my current fave dark jeans with snakeskin boots for a day in the city.

Later in the week, I borrowed a gorgeous bright blue coat from my girl Sheryl. She paired it with mostly neutrals. I decided to go for a bold blue vibe with navy coated jeans and a matching hat. Then I brightened the look with a fuzzy white turtleneck and the comfiest white booties.

Another big color trend for spring? Bright pink! I actually don’t have too many hot pink pieces in my wardrobe but while prepping for fashion week, I was instantly drawn to this fuchsia coat (now on sale!). It feels like a hybrid between a sweater and a jacket. I wore it over my heattech tee, jeans and my white booties (told you they were crazy comfy!). But I also used it at night to dress up an all black outfit.
