Happy October! I can’t believe it’s already a new month! To kick off the month, I’m slipping into one of the biggest color trends for fall: orange. So how do you wear orange and not look like a pumpkin? One of my favorite ways is by pairing an orange sweater (mine is only $32!) with classic basics, like dark denim or a tailored trouser. Here are two ways to wear an orange sweater this fall:
Dressy
To dress up my orange sweater, I paired it with wide leg white pants. I’ve never followed the fashion rule that you can’t wear white after Labor Day. I think white pants work year-round! To make the look more fall, I added tan and brown accessories. It’s a chic way to add color to the office. Or, if you add a hat, you can make a major statement over the weekend!
Casual
During fall, I feel like I like in sweaters, skinny jeans and booties (see 6 ways I’m wearing booties right now on my YouTube channel). I love the combo of orange and navy together, so I slipped into my new dark skinny jeans with matching denim booties and a navy bag. If you don’t have navy accessories, you can create a similar look with camel or brown.
I just ordered this sweater to go with a wine slip skirt. I ordered a medium. What size are you wearing?
Ooh I love the idea of that pairing! I’m wearing a S
So mine just arrived and I love it! The fit is OK, but I might order a small to see if I like the fit better. I also tried it with some white pants and it looks amazing! Thanks for the idea!
