There is nothing better than getting together with good friends over the holidays. So Elizabeth and I decided to head out to Big Bear to see the snow and invited our friends Laura, Melanee and Rachel along for the festivities. Elizabeth found the cutest cabin on the lake. I love that Big Bear is just a couple of hours from Los Angeles. We packed up a ton of outfits and loaded our car up with holiday decor to make the cabin feel festive during our stay. Here is everything we brought with us for our girls trip in the snow and some ideas for what to wear in Big Bear…

Festive Tops

Elizabeth and I hosted a dinner party the night our friends got there. Both of us love a good theme so when the girls asked what to wear in Big Bear, we told them to bring festive holiday tops and jeans so we all coordinated. I went with this gold lamé top, which I paired with sparkly statement earrings (now on sale!). My friends did a mixture of sequins and luxe velvet tops.

Fuzzy Hats

We didn’t coordinate our accessories but each of us brought along a fuzzy hat, a necessity for casual winter wear! Most of us brought neutral beanies with faux fur poms. But Laura went extra luxe with her faux fur Russian hat. Now I feel like I need one for myself!

Party Dresses

Being glam with your girlfriends is always fun. So we each brought along a party dress. Elizabeth went with red sequins and I channeled a Christmas present with a tartan dress (now on sale!). Were we overdressed for casual Big Bear? Of course! But did we have so much fun playing dress up? You bet!

Holiday PJs

Continuing the holiday theme, we all brought along holiday pjs. I was laughing as I packed mine because for the past two weeks, I’ve been texting my mom back and forth about Christmas pajamas. She always likes us to wear matching pjs (and by us, I mean the dogs too!) when we open presents in the morning. She’s been very indecisive about the pajamas our family will be wearing so I’m curious to see the final sets when I drive down to San Diego next week. For our girls trip, though, we just coordinated in stripes, plaid and Rachel’s adorable lips onesie! To be honest, these are the outfits we wore most during our trip. There is nothing better than sipping warm drinks all day by the fire in comfy pajamas.

Embellished Headbands

Almost all of us brought along embellished headbands. We didn’t even plan it! I talked about the trend a couple of weeks ago in my three easy holiday hairstyles post. At the time I didn’t have any holiday headbands so I ordered a pearl headband set (only $10.99 for both!) before our trip. I guess I didn’t need to because I totally could have borrowed from one of my friends.

I wore the beige one with a winter white outfit, paring it with my fave white skinny jeans, this white sweater (now on sale!) I wore every day of our trip and my new faux fur coat (also on sale!).
