Happy Galentine’s Day! It’s the 10 year anniversary of the holiday. Back in 2010, Amy Poehler’s character on Parks and Recreations declared February 13 a day where ladies celebrate ladies. And so Galentine’s Day was born. I love the concept of female friendship. I wouldn’t be where I was today without the supportive women in my life… including you!
To celebrate Galentine’s Day, I teamed up with Awe Inspired for a giveaway around their Goddess Collection. It’s a series of goddess coin necklaces featuring legendary women. As for what to wear on Galentine’s Day? That’s the fun part because anything goes! Hanging with your girls is an opportunity to dress however you’re feeling. One year, I had a pajama dinner, and my girlfriends and I all wore pjs with tons of sparkly jewelry. Another year I dressed up extra girlie with tulle and faux fur. This year, I’m going more casual girlie in a hot pink top and jeans…. and one of my goddess coin necklaces.
