One of the biggest questions I’m asked this time of the year is what to wear to a wedding. Wedding dress codes can be very tricky. I mean does anyone really know the difference between black tie optional and semi formal? Over the years I’ve shown various wedding attire ideas on my blog: black tie, city, beach chic… the list goes on. Today, I wanted to show one dress option that can work for–almost– any wedding.
A high neck gown with an open back or cutouts can be styled differently for almost any type of wedding dress code. I went with a pink dress, since it’s one of the biggest colors this season. But you can go with any color, aside from white, of course.
I styled the dress for a black tie optional or semi formal wedding. The messy ponytail and colorblocking from my accessories gives it more of a playful vibe. For a beach chic wedding, I’d do a side braid, boho earrings and a straw clutch. And for a black tie affair, I would do a sleek ponytail, sparkly earrings and a metallic evening bag.
My dress can be ordered in multiple colors but I rounded up some more options under $200 to help get your ready for wedding season!
