After seeing such beautiful Fall decor inspiration on Pinterest, I decided to DIY my own metallic stripe pumpkins. With a mostly white home, I didn’t want to bring in messy paint or glitter for a night of crafting. So I went with easy, no-mess tape. To create these metallic stripe pumpkins, you only need four materials. They take very little time, create no mess and you can use them to spruce up all different parts of your home for Fall!
Materials
- small white pumpkins
- metallic crafting tape
- scissors
- metallic markers
I found my mini white pumpkins for about 60 cents at Trader Joe’s. Most grocery stores have them this time of year and it’s much easier to buy them then paint them white! Since my home has a mixed metallics theme, I did a mixture of gold mirror, silver glitter and silver dot crafting tape. But you can go with whatever color you prefer (they have endless options!).
To make the pumpkins, you simply cut the tape in half, and wrap it around each crease of the pumpkin. Then you can use a metallic marker to have the stem of the pumpkin match the stripes. I bought a pack of metallic Sharpies since they had both gold and silver.
Very, VERY clever!
I especially loved the Metallic tape pumpkins!
