Along with sweater weather, it’s the season of leather weather. And one way I love incorporating leather into my wardrobe is with a faux leather top. You can use it to dress up jeans for date night or go for a full-on leather look like I did by pairing it with a leather skirt.

Black leather pumps are also a classic. As much as I love my Louboutins, I wouldn’t say they’re exactly comfortable. These M Gemi pumps though? They’re super comfy for the height because of a padded insole. They’re definitely worth the splurge since they never go out of style.
Speaking of leather weather, we’ve barely had any in LA yet. Aside from a few cloudy and windy days, it’s mostly been warm. Being a summer girl I’m definitely not complaining! But if you see me glistening in these photos it’s sweat not highlighter. It was so warm the day I chose to shoot my fall content. I guess I just need a trip to the east coast!

Leather weather is my favorite excuse to dress up for a date night. A faux leather top instantly makes jeans feel intentional, like you actually planned the outfit instead of throwing something on after work. I love the softer details like ruffles or puff sleeves, they balance the edge and feel more approachable. Full leather can be bold but it’s such a confidence boost when done right.
